Lyon-La-Foret (or How We Had Quiche In a Town Square)

Our next destination wasn't Rouen, as we thought. ESA had first arranged a stop-over in a little town called Lyon-La-Foret, where we were going to have lunch. Terri, the professor in charge of our bus warned us that the luch wouldn't be all that great, but that it would at least be in a nice setting.

And that it was.

The town was really cute, and they had set up tables on the square for our lunch. It also started to rain finally, which made everyone pack in under the eaves. But it made everything even more charming. This was definitely a plus, since the quiche we got for lunch was definitely as sub-par as was promised.

Just as we were having fun and getting to the tarte tatin, Prof. Blair started again with his "were late, we're late"routine. Jeez. It's like he's the white rabbit. But to the buses we went, apple pies in hand. Five minutes into the ride to Rouen, our bus smashed into a gull. Evertyhing was fine, but we had to ride for the next two hours with the outline of a bird etched on the windshield. Blech!
