Le Hangar

At Rue Montorguell, we had some coffee and discussed where to go for lunch. Since he's never met me before, I had to convince him that I can pretty much eat everything in sight, except tripe. So we set off towards Marais, but just around the Center Pompidou, he suggested a...drum roll...braised foie gras restaurant. Yay!!!

The restaurant is called Le Hangar, and it's in a little side street. Lunch was an education. For instance, if you order an aperitif, you might get a little appetizer with it. And if you order coffee instead of dessert, you sometimes get a cookie or chocolate to go with it.

Lunch was a house cocktail with toast rounds and tapenade, a coriander lentil salad, braised foie gras over very creamy mash, and coffee with an assortment of tiny cookies and merigues, all of which I was forced to eat, along with the truffles that came with the bill (like at Butler and Chef). And from there we went to Marais.
